Geoyore ("we", "our", or "the app") is a geography and history trivia game for iOS and Android. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

Username — your chosen display name
Email address — used for account authentication and password reset
Avatar selection — the emoji or icon you choose as your profile picture

When you use the app, we automatically collect:

Gameplay data — scores, game session results, streaks, and difficulty ratings
Daily Challenge entries — scores submitted to the leaderboard
Geo Pack purchases — records of in-app purchases (processed by Apple or Google)

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your precise location
We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs
We do not track you across other apps or websites
We do not sell or share your data with third parties

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain your account
To display your username on leaderboards
To track your gameplay statistics and progression
To send password reset emails when requested
To deliver daily challenge notifications (if enabled)

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on cloud servers provided by Supabase. All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS. We do not store your password in plain text; authentication is handled by Supabase Auth with industry-standard encryption.

5. Third-Party Services

Supabase — database and authentication provider
Apple Game Center — leaderboards and achievements (optional)
Apple StoreKit / Google Play Billing — in-app purchase processing
Postmark — transactional email delivery (password reset emails only)

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing the data they process.

6. Guest Accounts

You may use Geoyore as a guest without providing an email address. Guest accounts have limited functionality (no daily challenge, no leaderboard). Guest data is stored using an anonymous identifier and can be deleted at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

Geoyore is an educational game suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Your Rights

Access — view your data in the Profile section of the app
Correction — edit your username and avatar from your profile
Deletion — delete your account and all associated data from Profile > Delete Account
Data portability — contact us to request an export of your data

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All gameplay data, scores, and personal information will be removed from our servers.

9. Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your Geoyore account and all associated data at any time using either of the following methods:

In the app: Go to Profile → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
By request: Email us at support@geoyore.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and we will delete your account within 7 days.

The following data is permanently deleted upon account removal: username, email, gameplay history, scores, leaderboard entries, and purchase records. This action cannot be undone.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
